Ariel Massotherapy is located on the west side of Akron, Ohio USA, very near the intersection of West Market Street and Sand Run Road. My name is Bill Blocksom. I am the owner and practitioner of Ariel Massotherapy.
Benefits of Bodywork and Massage Therapy
The list of benefits is quite long. A few of these wonderful benefits include: Increased circulation (through the tissues to move the toxins out into the blood stream where they can exit the body and move the nutrient-rich, oxygenated blood into the tissues); relaxation; general wellness and sense of well-being; relief from muscular tension, discomfort, and pain; better structural balance (structural balance translates into better circulation and more efficient bodily function); improvement in performance in athletics, business and life.
A partial list of specific problems that are addressed: neck, back and lower back pain; whiplash and other accident injuries; headaches of different types; a wide variety of joint pain (shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, ankle,wrist, hands and feet); TMJ; Carpal Tunnel; Plantar Fascitis; Fibromyalgia; and digestive problems (constipation, acid reflux, Hiatal hernia).
Touch, in the form of bodywork or massage therapy, can be a wonderful support for those who are on a healing path, such as counseling, psychotherapy, or a recovery program.
Our bodies are always striving for balance. Through injury, misuse, neglect, or illness our bodies may not be able to find their way back to balance without the support and stimulus of bodywork or massage, or the assistance offered by other practitioners such as an acupuncturist, chiropractor, physical therapist, physician or surgeon. You are unique and what works for you is unique. The wonderful fact is that you have a choice. Whether or not you have already tried some of the other alternatives, perhaps bodywork or massage therapy is what you need. I look forward to assisting you in any way that I can.
Sessions Available
Sessions are by appointment. Sessions are available in Ortho-Bionomy(R), Manual Medicine*, Reiki, Massage Therapy (including "Deep tissue"); Swedish massage; Foot Reflexology; and more. These can be experienced alone or in combination. Popular combinations include: Ortho-Bionomy and Massage; Massage and Foot Reflexology; and Reiki and Massage. For those wishing to experience the relaxing and therapeutic benefits with their clothes on, some of these methods can be experienced wearing loose-fitting clothing. *Note: Manual Medicine is an indirect, non-force method taught to massage therapists and other health care professionals by Dr. Keith Barbour of Monroe, Michigan.

Appointments
Appointments are available in 30, 45, 60 and 90 minute sessions. Time allotted need be decided when booking your time. Office hours are from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Appointments outside these days and times are negotiable. A premium may or may not be charged for appointments outside of regular office hours.
Rates
Rates are competitive and are based on $65 per hour. The state requires that sales taxes be charged for any sessions that are not prescribed by your doctor, chiropractor or dentist (for TMJ). "Contact us" for more information.
Payment is required immediately before or after the session. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted.

Classes are available in Ortho-Bionomy and Reiki.
